What your installer will do
These eight steps are an overview, not instructions. Your installer’s method may differ for your car.
-
The original badge is removed with a plastic trim tool, with the paint masked first.
-
On our demo car, the emblem’s lead went through one of the badge recess’s existing holes.
-
The backing film comes off. The emblem has an adhesive back, a metal stud and a power lead.
-
The emblem is pressed into the badge recess.
-
With the boot-lid lining removed, the lead is routed along the lid.
-
A draw wire pulls the lead through the rubber conduit by the hinge.
-
The lead is pulled through and the conduit is put back.
-
Your installer connects the emblem to a suitable fused supply. We don’t publish DIY wiring steps.
